EuroSIDA
De EuroSIDA-studie is een prospectieve observationele cohortstudie van meer dan 16.500 patiënten die gevolgd worden in 103 ziekenhuizen in 32 Europese landen plus Israël en Argentinië. Het belangrijkste doel van de studie is de impact van antiretrovirale geneesmiddelen te beoordelen op het ziektebeloop binnen de populatie van HIV-geïnfecteerde patiënten in Europa. Het primaire ziekenhuis in Nederland dat informatie levert aan deze studie is het AMC in Amsterdam. Op verzoek van de principal investigator van EuroSIDA, prof. dr. Peter Reiss, verzamelt de SHM gegevens in het AMC in Amsterdam voor EuroSIDA.
