Treatment Centres
Collecting data is a crucial part of SHM's work. Coded data are collected in 26 officially recognised HIV treatment centres and stored in SHM’s national database for research purposes. SHM maintains a strong collaboration with all 26 HIV treatment centres in the Netherlands.
Information for patients
As a treating physician or HIV nurse consultant, you may need to provide individuals with oral and written information about SHM and about the procedure for both registration and opting out. We have a patient information sheet and a short brochure explaining how and why medical information is collected from patients, along with an up-to-date factsheet about HIV in the Netherlands.
