ESF.jpgSustainable employability at SHM

At the end of 2016, Stichting HIV Monitoring (SHM) launched a project to strengthen the sustainable employability of its staff. One very important part of this project was a study into staff wellbeing. This study was partly financed by the European Social Fund and was carried out on behalf of SHM by Nieuwhuis Consult. The study aimed to gain insight into potential ways to improve sustainable employability within SHM and to define concrete goals for each sustainable employability theme, such as health and safety at work and promoting a culture of learning. SHM’s staff were closely involved in the study by completing questionnaires and interviews with Nieuwhuis Consult advisors. Staff will be informed of the results of the project early in 2017.

Stichting HIV Monitoring

Stichting HIV Monitoring (SHM) makes an essential contribution to healthcare for HIV-positive people in the Netherlands.  Working with all recognised HIV treatment centres in the Netherlands, SHM systematically collects coded medical data from all registered HIV patients. SHM uses these data to produce centre-specific reports that allow HIV treatment centres to optimise their patient care and obtain formal certification. SHM’s data also form the basis for the yearly HIV monitoring report and are used in HIV-related research in the Netherlands and internationally. The outcome of SHM’s research provides tangible input into HIV care and prevention polices in the Netherlands.
