Registration with SHM
As a hepatitis C patient, you usually will be treated by a physician in one of the hepatitis treatment centers via your GP, a medical specialist or the GGD. Your gastroenterologist or internist will provide you with information about registration with SHM. Registration in the database is necessary to gain sufficient insight into (the course of) hepatitis in the Netherlands, to improve hepatitis care.

If you have given permission through your treating physician for the use of your data for research, you have been informed about what happens to your data and that you can always withdraw your consent.
