Governing Board

The Governing Board includes trustees who represent the National Association of Health Insurers, the Netherlands HIV Association, HIV/AIDS treatment centres, and the Association of HIV/AIDS Treating Physicians. The board members determine the budget and the annual report. Governing Board

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board advises the Governing Board and the Director and is appointed by the Governing Board. Advisory Board

Working Group

The Working Group advises the Director on executive matters regarding use of data stored in the national HIV database and consists of members and reviewers. Working Group

Strong collaboration

SHM has a strong collaboration with all HIV treatment centres in the Netherlands. At these centres data from HIV-infected patients are collected and stored in the national SHM database. The foundation collaborates nationally and internationally with various organisations for data collection and for research and analysis purposes. Collaborations

Stichting HIV Monitoring

SHM, the Dutch HIV monitoring foundation, makes an important and necessary contribution to healthcare for HIV-infected people living in the Netherlands. Through the collection and maintenance of anonymous data from HIV-patients throughout the country, our work contributes significantly to the knowledge of HIV and enables treating physicians to assess and improve patient care. Our yearly monitoring report provides valuable input for the development of HIV care and prevention policies within the Netherlands and the EU.
