Professor Joep Lange amongst victims of Malaysia Airlines crash

Stichting HIV Monitoring is profoundly shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news that Professor Joep Lange and his partner Jacqueline van Tongeren were amongst those on board of the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17. Joep Lange was one of the co-founders of the ATHENA cohort and chair of Stichting HIV Monitoring’s advisory board. It is with great gratitude that we commemorate his commitment to our foundation. 

We will greatly miss these very special people. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the children, families, friends and colleagues.
