Hepatitis Working Group
The working group hepatitis was founded in 2010 and is a collaboration between the Dutch Association of HIV-treating Physicians (NVHB) and the SHM. A large number of the HIV-infected patients has a hepatitis co-infection. Monitoring hepatitis co-infections is important to further the knowledge on, assess the impact of these co-infections and to assess the effectivity of the available treatment. Members of the hepatitis working group have advised the SHM during the composition of a data collection protocol for hepatitis co-infection in HIV-positive individuals.
