UNAIDS Scientific Expert Panel report on biomedical AIDS research

The UNAIDS scientific expert panel has just released its second report on biomedical research into AIDS. The report provides an update of the key advances in biomedical research on HIV in the past year and highlights new research that can be anticipated in 2016. The scientific expert panel was established to advise UNAIDS on major new scientific discoveries and research evidence as well as research gaps and strategic AIDS research needs. SHM director, Peter Reiss, is a member of the panel that comprises more than 40 scientists from around the world with expertise in a wide range of disciplines, including epidemiology, behavioural science, virology, diagnostics, pathogenesis, immunology, treatment, prevention and cure.
